Students in Mrs. Trull’s third grade class at Bethel Elementary have had the unique opportunity to learn about the country of Ethiopia from Ethiopian third graders. Thanks to a chance meeting of Mrs. Blankenship and a teacher from Ethiopia at The Physical Education Institute last summer, third graders are connecting from across the globe. When asked what the neatest thing has been about writing with students across the globe from them, Mrs. Trull’s students agreed that it was how much they had in common with the Ethiopian students. “They go to school and have pets just like us,” Ariel Jaquish said.
