Preparing for the Future….

Second grade students took a field trip, to the Food Lion supermarket and the State Employees’ Credit Union in Clyde, on Wednesday. The students had a behind the scenes tour of the supermarket and had a chance to shop for their own produce. They enjoyed sampling cookie cakes from the Deli/Bakery department!!! At the Credit Union… students had a chance to step inside the bank vault, watch how the drive-thru works, and of course got to hang out with Fat Cat… the mascot. Visiting these places helps students with their understanding of wants and needs, and how people and businesses in their community meet those wants and needs. This was a great experience for our students!!!
