Five Little Pumpkins on a Fence?????

     Mrs. Francis’ class was challenged last week in a STEAM Activity using the “5 Little Pumpkins” poem. Students had to create their teams & design a fence for their 5 little pumpkins to sit on. They had to create their plan first and draw out their design.  The first challenge was to create the fence to hold their pumpkins with only popsicle sticks, the next time they tried they could also use clay. Students had to time to test their design and then also to redesign to make their structure better. If they had success the first 2 times then they could try to build a fence that would hold as many pumpkins as possible.
