Student Work and/or Chromebook Check Out Information

Last name I-P: 9:30 am

Last name Q-Z: 10:00 am

If an adult is picking up work for multiple students with different last names, just choose one and come during that time to pick up all work.

• All students in grades K-3 have a packet that needs to be picked up.
• 4th and 5th grade students will only have materials to pick up if there is no home internet access, if they need to check out a Chromebook, or if they have an IEP. All other 4th and 5th graders will be receiving digital communication from their teachers with their assignments.
• All online or digital work can be done on any laptop or tablet; it does NOT have to be a school device. School devices are available for checkout for students who don’t have access to one at home. The login for all school Chromebooks only requires the student’s user name and the rest of the login self populates. For all personal devices, students will have to type their user name and “@student.haywood.k12.nc.us“
• For safety and efficiency, all work will be handed out in a “drive thru” style in the car line loop.
• The only people who will need to get out of their vehicles are adults checking out Chromebooks for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students who need a device. Students need to stay in the vehicles at all times.

Please make sure that whoever comes to pick up materials knows what grade the child is in and whether or not a Chromebook needs to be checked out. We will be asking those two questions as the person pulls up.
