As we wrap up this interesting school year, we are beginning to make preparations for 2020-2021. As has been the practice at BES, I would like to continue giving parents the opportunity to bring to my attention any special circumstance that would require a request to avoid a teacher. Given the high-performing staff we are so fortunate to have at Bethel, reasons to avoid must be well-founded and valid. These requests must be submitted to me in writing no later than Friday, June 19. “In writing” can mean a letter on a piece of paper that is mailed or dropped off at the school or an email to hhollingsworth@haywood.k12.nc.us. Please do not send me a private message on Facebook. Requests will not be considered after the June 19 deadline.
My goal is to consider all student data to create well-balanced classes for next school year. Student data includes all academic and behavioral data. Since new students will enroll over the summer, class lists will be finalized closer to the opening of the new school year. Your child will receive a letter shortly before school starts in August communicating his/her class assignment for 2020-2021.
Thanks so much for making my first year at BES (even though it’s been crazy) a great year! I am proud to be a part of our #bethelstrong community:)
