Post Holiday Calendar Adjustment

We found today that the school calendar has changed a bit for when we come back from break. Elementary students were all originally scheduled to return to in person learning on Wednesday, 1/6/2021. This has been changed. Now Wednesday, 1/6, Thursday, 1/7, and Friday, 1/8 will be Remote Learning Days. That means the students will learn remotely on those three days and the days will count as school days. We will be sending iPads (K-1st grade) and Chromebooks (grades 2-5) home sometime before the students leave for Christmas break. If your student is absent, the teacher will contact you about a time to pick up their device before 1/6.

These days will have live instruction via Seesaw (K-1st grade) and Google classroom (grades 2-5) as well as independent work that will have to be done. Attendance in the live meets is required to be counted present on these days and the work must be turned in to get credit each day.

If you need a hot spot for internet access, you need to either let your child’s teacher know or call the school and let us know as soon as possible. If you don’t have internet or cell service, please communicate that with your child’s teacher.

All elementary students are scheduled to return to in person learning on Monday, January 11.

This calendar change doesn’t affect students who are already doing remote only learning. Those students will resume their regular remote learning schedule on Wednesday, 1/6.
