Remember that we will be selling Bethel By Pass chances through 3:00 pm on Friday, 8/19. The four winning tickets will be drawn after that and Mrs. Hollingsworth will call those parents and explain how to proceed for Monday.

Kindergarten parents…we need for all kindergarten students who are car riders to learn how to navigate the regular car line during the fall semester. However, when we sell tickets for the spring semester Bethel By Pass spots, you all will definitely be offered a chance to win those spots.

Monday, 8/22 is the first day of school for students in grades 1-5 and it is a 12:30 dismissal. As always on a regular day, the doors open at 7:15 am and school begins at 7:50 am.

Kindergarten orientation is Wednesday, 8/24, at 1:30 pm in the auditorium. Please bring your child and you will find out which class they have been placed in and meet the teacher. It is important that you don’t park in the car line loop. If you do, you’ll be stuck in car line until the older kids are dismissed at 2:55 because people start lining up in the car line early. You’ll need to park in the lower lot which is the first left as you come up the hill.

Folks are always asking how they can help and what school supplies are needed for our economically disadvantaged students. Our school counselor, Mrs. Cavner, did an inventory check and these are the items we need most:

3 x 3 sticky notes

Expo markers (thick)

Expo markers (thin)

Wired mouse

Headphones (no earbuds or wireless please)

1 inch three ring binder (this is the most requested item from all grades)

Possibly rest mats (at this point each classroom does have at least one extra but we will not know this need until Kindergarten comes in)
