Parent Newsletter Info March 8, 2023
Early Dismissal & Remote Learning Day
Thursday, March 9 is a 12:30 dismissal and Friday, March 10 is a Remote Learning Day. Remember that Friday counts as a school day. Your child will be counted present for Friday if he/she turns in their assigned work when they return to school in person on Monday, March 13. If no work is turned in, he/she will be counted absent for the Remote Learning Day.
March Madness Tardy Challenge
As of today we have had zero days with no any unexcused tardies. March is a long month; here’s hoping we can have 5 days in a row with no unexcused tardies so our students can have a dance party.
27 Week Tests
Our 2nd-5th grade students will be taking their 27 Week Assessments throughout the next 2 weeks. Please make sure your student is on time and ready to do their best on these assessments. The reason for these tests is so teachers can use the data to plan their instruction for the rest of the school year. If all of the students have already mastered a concept, we need to move on. If a large percentage of students in a grade level have not mastered a concept, we need to back up and reteach and/or rethink how we are teaching it so more students can grasp it. These assessments give us that timely data so we can make those educated decisions.
Last day for yearbook orders is March 15! Don’t forget!!
