Parent Lunch & Learn this Tuesday, April 4
Mrs. Cavner and I will be having a virtual parent session this Tuesday at 12:30 pm regarding social media and internet safety. The more we learn about how students (even very young students) are being negatively affected by access to social media and unmonitored internet use, the more we feel we need to educate as many people as we can. Please make plans to join us virtually on Tuesday at lunchtime. It is OK if you join late or if you can only be online for part of the session. The link to join is meet.google.com/okn-vnei-twt
Just a few “as we go into spring break” tidbits…
1. This Friday, April 7 is a 12:30 dismissal and students return to school on Monday, April 17.
2. Remember to invite your friends and family members to the Spring Fling on Friday, April 21 from 5-8 pm. Also don’t forget to email Josie (jrathbone063012@gmail.com) or Lauren (laurenlawson622@gmail.com) if you’re interested in volunteering, being a vendor, or donating something for the silent auction. More info about how and when to buy a wristband for the event will be coming soon.
3. Summer camp (after school program summer camp, not reading summer school) applications will be available when we return from spring break. Summer camp is $150 per week and operates all summer Monday-Friday.
4. The Lost & Found is beyond full…it’s truly overflowing…if your child has lost a coat, jacket, sweatshirt, etc. please come in at some point and look to see if the item is in the Lost & Found. Just stop in at the office and we’ll point you in the right direction.
