PENNY WARS CONTINUE

It’s been PENNY WAR TIME during the book fair this week!!! We are continuing the penny wars through this coming Wednesday, 11/10. The buckets are on a table in the library.

Here’s how it works…you add pennies and dollars to your grade’s bucket to add points, and put silver coins in the other grades’ buckets to take away points!

The winning grade gets an ice cream party!

Any money leftover after the ice cream party will go into the PTO’s coffers. That money will be used to help the school purchase educational supplies and materials as well as help with technology needs.

P.S. Speaking of the book fair, thank you SO much for your participation in Doughnuts for Dads and for sending money for your students to spend. We had a very profitable book fair and Mrs. Chinn is excited about the number of new books she is going to be able to buy for the library.

REMINDER ABOUT NEXT WEEK’S CALENDAR CHANGE

Thursday, November 11 is the Veterans’ Day holiday and there is no school for students or staff.Friday, November 12 is now a Remote Learning Day so students do not come to school on that day. Work will be sent home (device or paper/pencil) on Wednesday, November 10. That work needs to be done sometime between then and when they come back to school on Monday, November 15. If they turn the work in, they will be counted present for Friday, November 12 and if they don’t turn the work in, they will be counted absent for that day. This day takes the place of the Remote Learning Day that was scheduled for February 2, 2022. That day is now scheduled to be a regular school day.

YEARBOOK ORDERS

Yearbook order information has been sent home with students. The forms are due 11/15. We will have another ordering time period in the spring. You may also order online using ybpay.com. Our school code is 13703422.

LUNCH WITH STUDENTS

We are so happy that visitors are allowed in the building this year and we welcome you to come eat lunch with your child. However, due to social distancing regulations not all classes are eating in the cafeteria everyday. We can only allow lunch visitors when the class is eating in the cafeteria. So…please be in contact with your child’s teacher when you’re planning to come eat lunch so you can schedule to do that on the correct week.
