Dear Parents,
March is “National Reading Month”. It begins with Dr. Seuss’s birthday during READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK. Bethel Elementary will be celebrating the entire month of March with all sorts of fun and exciting reading activities. From mystery readers and reading road trips to Facing timing and WAcKY WEDNESDAY jokes and riddles, BES will be on the move celebrating the love of reading!
Important dates, beginning this week…
Thursday, March 2nd – bring your favorite Dr. Seuss book to school to share and wear red, white, and blue in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
Friday, March 3rd – PTO will be sponsoring “Adopt a Pet” for the Dr. Seuss book “What Pet Should I Get”. Each student will get to choose a stuffed animal as a pet, name it, and receive an adoption certificate.
Wednesdays- Each Wednesday will be WAcKY WEDNESDAY. Students should bring in jokes and riddle books to share with their class and morning announcements.
Friday, March 10th– State Pride Day… Students wear something imprinted with words that say they are proud to be from their state, which might include shirts or hats with city, college, or local team names.
Friday, March 17th– St. Patrick’s Day… wear green!!!
Friday, March 24- Readers Make Stupendous Leaders… Students can dress to represent a career they would like to have when they are older.
Friday, March 31- Grand Finale… Top Secret 😉 Wear Bethel Blue!
